The Woodford County Sheriff’s Office has received a complaint from a community member who received a call from a male claiming to be from the Sheriff’s Office.  The caller identified himself using a name of a former Sheriff’s Office employee.  Please be advised the Sheriff’s Office does NOT make phone calls to community members regarding warrants and would never request personal financial information or demand payment.  If you receive a call of this nature you should hang up immediately and report the potential scam to the W.C.S.O. at 859-873-3119 or 859-873-3126.
